Administration Team

Dear Kordyak Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored to begin my third year at Kordyak Elementary School—my first year was spent serving as Assistant Principal, and this year marks my second year as Principal. It has been a privilege to work alongside our dedicated staff, students, and families, and I look forward to continuing the work we've started together as we build on the strong foundation of our school community.

As a proud product of the Rialto Unified School District, serving as Principal of Kordyak Elementary is especially meaningful to me. I began my educational journey at Dollahan Elementary School, continued to Kucera Middle School, and graduated from Eisenhower High School. Returning to the district that helped shape my future is both an honor and a responsibility that I value each day.

At Kordyak, we believe every student deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and supported from the moment they step onto our campus. We are committed to providing a learning environment where students are challenged academically, encouraged to grow socially and emotionally, and inspired to reach their full potential. This year, we proudly embrace Rialto Unified's message, "You Belong Here," by continuing to foster a school community where every student, family, and staff member knows they are valued, respected, and an important part of the Kordyak family.

We also recognize that student success is strongest when schools and families work together. Your partnership, involvement, and support play an essential role in your child's educational experience. We encourage you to stay connected with your child's teacher, participate in school events, and reach out whenever you have questions or need assistance. Together, we can create meaningful learning experiences and help every student thrive.

I am grateful to continue serving alongside Assistant Principal Mr. David Kretschmar, whose commitment to instructional excellence and student success strengthens our school each day, and Program Specialist Mrs. Laurie Hicks, whose dedication to supporting students, families, and staff is invaluable. Together with our outstanding teachers, classified staff, and support personnel, we remain committed to providing a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment for every Kordyak Cub.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children and allowing us to be part of their educational journey. We look forward to another year of learning, growth, and celebrating the many accomplishments of our students. On behalf of the entire Kordyak staff, welcome to the 2026–2027 school year. You belong here, and we are grateful to partner with you in making this a successful year for every Kordyak Cub.

With appreciation,

Jessica Artiga
Principal, Kordyak Elementary School

Dear Kordyak Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I am thrilled to start my second year as Assistant Principal at Kordyak Elementary. It has been a true privilege to serve this amazing school community, and I appreciate the chance to continue working with our dedicated staff, wonderful students, and supportive families. I look forward to another year full of learning, growth, and celebrating the many successes of our Kordyak Cubs.

As a proud Rialto resident, serving as Assistant Principal at Kordyak Elementary holds special meaning for me. Living in Rialto, I view supporting our students and families as both an honor and a responsibility.

At Kordyak, we believe every student should feel safe, welcome, and supported from the moment they step onto campus. We are committed to creating a learning environment where students are challenged academically, encouraged to grow socially and emotionally, and inspired to reach their full potential. This year, we proudly adopt the Rialto Unified message, "You Belong Here," by fostering a community where all students, families, and staff feel valued, respected, and connected.

One of Kordyak's greatest strengths is our partnership with families. Your support, encouragement, and involvement significantly enhance your child's educational experience. We invite you to stay engaged with your child's teacher, participate in school events, and reach out whenever you need assistance or have questions. Together, we can create meaningful opportunities for every student to succeed.

I am thankful to work alongside our Principal, Dr. Artiga, whose leadership promotes the idea that everyone belongs and is an exceptional instructional leader, and our Program Specialist, Mrs. Laurie Hicks, whose dedication to supporting students, families, and staff is invaluable. With the support of our talented teachers, classified staff, and support personnel, we remain dedicated to providing a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment where every student can flourish.

Thank you for entrusting us with your children and allowing us to be part of their educational journey. It is an honor to serve the Kordyak community. I am eager to collaborate with you this year to support each Kordyak Cub’s growth in academics, social skills, and emotional health. On behalf of our entire staff, welcome to the 2026–2027 school year. We are excited about what’s to come, and remember—you belong here.

Dear Kordyak Families,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year! I am very excited to begin my third year as Program Specialist at Kordyak Elementary, working with staff and families to ensure that our students succeed to their highest potential! Each new day at school gives us the chance to help our students to dream, to become, to build, to shape, to grow, and to develop. Our job is to facilitate and encourage them in their journey to becoming their best self.

My 25 years in education, all in Rialto USD at a variety of sites across the entire district, having served as a classroom teacher, Instructional Strategist, Reading Specialist, and for the past few years as a Program Specialist, have helped me to recognize the incredible community, families, and staff that we have here at Kordyak! I am proud to work alongside Dr. Jessica Artiga, our principal, whose leadership highlights the strengths and skills of each member of our staff while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of all and Assistant Principal, Mr. David Kretschmar, whose energy and enthusiasm for supporting our families, students, and staff enlivens our school community.

This year, we proudly embrace Rialto Unified's message, "You Belong Here," by continuing to foster a school community where every student, family, and staff member knows they are valued, respected, and an important part of the Kordyak family. We believe that Every Learner, Every Background Belongs Here, and that our school is strengthened by the diverse skills, stories, and points of view in our community.  I hope to engage with all of our learners this year, helping remove any barriers and tapping into their personal stories to help them learn and grow this year. Let's learn together!
